Halfway through the season
We’re halfway through the season already, and people and schedules are getting busy. We WILL be delivering as usual on Wednesday unless you have made other arrangements with us due to the 4th of July holiday. In the interest of keeping your veggies as fresh as possible, please come as early as you are able (after 7:30 a.m. in Sioux City and after 8 a.m. in Sioux Center). We pack up at noon at the Sioux Center farmers market and by 1 p.m. in Sioux City.
Our growing season is a little behind where we were last year at this time, so you’ve seen a lot of the same kinds of produce so far, but that will start changing soon. In July we look forward to harvesting beans, tomatoes, zucchini, carrots, potatoes, peas and more… but for now, we need a little more warm weather before those are ready.
We’re getting a bit short on boxes and bags, so please remember to return them tomorrow so that we can re-use them.
Have a great week!
