End of the Fall Season

This fall was so nice for so long I guess winter had to come early. It has been an interesting year. Our first CSA delivery was actually in April and this one is in November, so that is 8 months! One year we did pick spinach for our fall share on Dec. 3–that was the first year–I don’t think I want to try that again.

The last fall share is packed and ready for Wednesday. The walk in cooler is cool, but not cold. It normally is about 36 degrees. For the last 10 days, it hasn’t run as a large fridge but only the circulation fans run. I only run them for about half a day, creating just enough heat to stay above 36 but not let it get above 40.

We have several organic pigs available; they will be processed this week and should be available about December 17.

We thank you for your participation. We welcome your feedback and look forward to planning for 2015. We hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. Eat well!
